My 10 year old Granddaughter wants one big red rose for her birthday cake. I didn’t know if it could even be done. Can you e-mail the directions as to how you did this? Thanks.

sure…i made the base of the cake in a doll form pan…(if you don’t have one then just stack a couple of cakes together and carve into a sort of cone/hersey’s kiss shape) frost and then cover with fondant…so that your fondant petals have something strong to hold onto….then i just cut out the fondant free hand to resemble rose petals and just attache them one by one….its that simple (wink wink) very time consuming but worth it….the results are just wonderful!!! good luck and thank you so much for visiting my site!!! send pics i would love to see your work!!!! good luck!!!

I wish you were here in Texas. I love that cake. I would love to have that cake in yellow with lemon cake and alternating layers of poppy seed filling and lemon curd. But then, I do dream big.
